Description

For the tomato gardener wanting a smaller collection of heirloom tomatoes with a variety of colors, shapes and wonderful tomato flavors I assembled this winning collection of heirloom tomato varieties. This collection is a perfect introduction to heirloom tomatoes and to their wonderful world of old-fashioned tomato flavors. A great gift for the gardener who has been only growing red tomatoes or the gardener who wants to expand their tomato garden with new tomato pleasures.

This collection contains individual packs of the following organic heirloom tomato seed varieties: (25 - 30 seeds/pack)

  • Reif Red Heart Heirloom Tomato (From J. Reif in PA, who got the seeds from an elderly Italian man. Big vines with wispy leaves producing lots of beautiful red, 10-12 oz., heart-shaped fruits. Meaty & very flavorful. Indeterminate. 78 Days.)
  • Pruden's Purple Heirloom Tomato (Many folks find this variety comparable to the favorite Brandywine. It has even ranked higher at times in my taste trials. Large potato-leaf vine produces lots of 1-lb., slightly flattened, pretty, blemish-free, purple-pink fruits with excellent flavor. Indeterminate. 75 Days.)
  • Marvel Stripe Heirloom Tomato (Beefsteak originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. Largest of the bi-colored tomatoes. May get over 4-inches and 2 pounds. Sweet, mild, fruity flavors. Indeterminate. 95 Days.)
  • Mandarin Cross, OP Heirloom Tomato (Wonderful plant from Japan producing 6-10 oz., orange, round fruit with sweet (low-acid) flavors. I de-hybridized this variety over 7 years of my growing it out. A winner!! Indeterminate. 86 Days.)
  • Aunt Ruby's German Green Heirloom Tomato (Heirloom beefsteak variety from Ruby Arnold of Greeneville, TN. Slightly flattened, 1 pound fruit that ripens to a pale greenish-yellow ("lime jello green") with a slight pink blush that extends to the inside. Superb, fruity sweet and slightly spicy taste. Indeterminate. 80 Days.)
  • Brandywine, Yellow Heirloom Tomato (A vigorous, potato-leaf heirloom from Ohio produces large amounts of 3 to 4-inch, yellow-orange, round, flattened, great tasting beefsteak fruit. Indeterminate. 90 Days.)
  • Black Prince Heirloom Tomato (Originally from Siberia these deep garnet round 2-inch (3 oz.) slicers are full of juice and incredibly rich, fruity flavors. Indeterminate. 70 Days.)
