Seeds for what became Orange Strawberry were sent to Carolyn Male by Marjorie Morris of Indiana, who discovered it as a stray seed in a pack of commercial Pineapple seeds and named it 'Orange Strawberry' based on the fruit's shape and color. Carolyn first listed the variety in the 1995 SSE Yearbook. A vigorous, indeterminate, regular leaf plant that produces medium yields of beautiful, 3-inch, 10-18 oz,strawberry-shaped, bright-orange oxheart (formed to a distinct tip ) tomatoes. The gorgeous, meaty fruit with few seeds has a sweet, rich, complex taste unlike most yellow and orange tomatoes. Excellent pronounced flavors.
