A Celebration of Heirloom Tomato Varieties from Around the World

TomatoFest® Seed Donations Program

Tomato Seeds For Those In Need - Every Seed a Possibility™

Since 1998 TomatoFest Garden Seeds has been donating heirloom tomato seeds to urban garden projects, school gardens, community outreach gardens around the U.S., India, Africa, Europe, China, and anywhere else an interest or need has been brought to our attention to enhance the quality and nourishment of life:

  • as a vital part of organic gardening educational programs for gardeners of all ages.
  • to grow tomato seedlings or fresh tomatoes to sell as a fundraiser.
  • as a means to supplement the education and feeding of school children, or families and communities in need of nutritious food.

Why We Share Our Tomato Seeds:

For many years I've been collecting heirloom tomato seeds from gardeners, family farms and other seed collectors around the world... tomato varieties that have been valued for their flavor and other desirable characteristics.

I have been entrusted with these tomato seeds to grow them out in our seed trials, harvest and share them with others, so they would be appreciated and sustained. Dagma and I hand select and harvest all of our certified organic tomato seeds and maintain our certified organic, tomato 'seed bank' to assure that these tomato varieties will be sustained.

Seeds are the beginning of the food chain. And maintaining a seed consciousness, nourished through the sharing of open-pollinated seeds, is a fundamental prerequisite for seed autonomy and food security. We believe through our support of the development of home and community gardens and organic sustainable agriculture, we will offset the erosion of biodiversity and malnutrition. Every Seed A Possibility™.

It is our intention to assist small farmers and rural communities to regain control of their own seed through the creation of their own seed gardens, and develop their own community seed banks. We are currently active in supporting numerous urban, school and community gardens world-wide with seed donations in their effort to support bio-diversity, ensure that heirloom tomato varieties will be preserved, and to feed those in need.

We are pleased to assist the efforts of a limited number of qualified charitable organizations, community and school garden projects in need of heirloom tomato seeds for planting. However, we reserve the right to decline requests, since we are limited to the amount of requests we are able to satisfy based upon the extent of our seed inventory and our ability to cover the costs of our seed donations.
